Smoke control damper EK-JZ - smoke control with maximum performance

The proven EK-JZ smoke control damper has been further optimised. The CE-certified smoke control damper can be used in walls, shafts or ducts. As it has also been designed in particular for installation in single-sided planked shaft walls for smoke and heat dissipation from fire floors, it is the ideal product for pressurised ventilation systems with mechanical exhaust. However, it can of course also be used in fire-resistant smoke extraction ducts or underground garages. The main specifications:

• Made of calcium silicate panels, the EK-JZ is resistant to high temperatures and has a 2-component sealing concept for the best possible cold
   and hot sealing and a particularly flow-optimised lamella structure. The EK-JZ can be triggered manually or automatically.
• The damper is available in variable nominal sizes from 200 mm by 230 mm to 1.200 mm by 2.030 mm.
• The EK-JZ can discharge more than 87,000 m3 of flue gases per hour.
• A combination of several dampers in a dry compound is possible.
• The EK-JZ complies with pressure stage 2 (-1,000 to 500 Pascal).
• Installation is quick and easy due to the rectangular outer dimensions without protrusions.
• Instead of the usual 75 mm edge distance, the EK-JZ manages with an extremely small 3-5 mm distance to the load-bearing ceiling, which
   maximises the opening cross-sections.
• Due to the new vertical design, large free cross-sections with high flow velocities of up to 20m/sec can be achieved for the first time even in
   narrow vertical ducts.
